The cast and executive producers of “Riverdale” speak at a panel at the CW 2017 winter TCA Tour.
As the first season of Riverdale came to an end earlier this year, fans of the show were left with unanswered questions and wondering, what will happen next. Who shot Archie’s dad? What is next in the case of Jason Blossom’s murder? Who is Veronica’s dad? They won’t have to wonder much longer as the second season of Riverdale premieres on Wednesday, Oct. 11 on the CW.
From secretive crime to a murder mystery and dramatic relationships, there are lots of affairs included in the show. The end of season one was left on a cliffhanger, when Fred Andrews (Luke Perry) was shot in a diner, which has created anticipation for the upcoming season.
Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart who play Jughead and Betty spoke about the characters’ relationship in an interview with E! News back in July. Sprouse said that Jughead is going through quite a bit at the end of season one and continues to go through quite a bit throughout season two, and asks if Betty is ride or die. Reinhart added that the couple goes through a type of Romeo and Juliet scenario, and that the divide might cause some problems.
The finale of season one included a dramatic scene of Archie Andrews’ (KJ Apa) dad Andrews being shot in front of him. The questions of who and why are left unanswered as season two approaches. Apa spoke briefly about the scene in an interview with Teen Vogue saying that a theme will be blind revenge and getting back at who shot his dad.
Tune in to the CW Wednesday, Oct. 11 to find out.
