Alexius Wolff’s research question focuses on education. “My research question is in the United States, in Kenya, both claim to have the objective to provide quality education to students with learning disabilities. How can both of these [countries] ensure quality education and truly reach all students, regardless of their disabilities or circumstances,” Wolff said.

Maggie Grilliot’s research dives into food insecurity. “My research question is, ‘How does food insecurity impact women heads of household, mentally and physically,'” Grilliot said.

Maria Carson’s research focuses on her passion for beekeeping and pollinators. “I am focusing on how pesticides and climate change impact pollination patterns and biodiversity and human food availability,” Carson said.

Kate Suter is researching different poaching strategies. “My question is basically, how can we share anti-poaching strategies between successful conservations elsewhere in Africa that are stuggling [with conservation], specifically with Rhino poaching,” Suter said.

Ella Gampper is taking her passion for business a step further with her research. “I’m researching agricultural finance on small and mid-sized farms and how that affects their profitability,” Gampper said.

Daniella Johnson is researching the overlap between conservation and education. “My research project is focused on the impact on youth conservation education on the protection of native wildlife,” Johnson said.

Gracie Goforth’s research focuses on cervical cancer. “My research question is how can local clinics and organizations in rural Kenya work to prioritize cervical cancer prevention,” Goforth said.

Sophia Thomas is researching news and its impact on health. “[My research question] is basically how where people get their news affects whether they want to get vaccinated against COVID or not,” Thomas said.
